- Responsible for developing a comprehensive software testing strategy that ensures the software products meet the required quality standards. This includes identifying the appropriate testing tools, methodologies, and frameworks to be used in the software testing process.
- Responsible for creating detailed test plans and test cases that cover all functional and non-functional requirements of the software product. You will also work with the development team to ensure that the software is testable and that defects are easily identifiable.
- Manage the software testing process from start to finish. This includes ensuring that testing is performed according to the test plan, monitoring progress, and reporting on test results. You will also be responsible for coordinating with the development team to ensure that defects are addressed and resolved.
- You will define and measure quality metrics that track the effectiveness of the software testing process. This includes measuring defect density, code coverage, and other metrics that are used to evaluate the quality of the software product.
- Responsible for managing the software testing team and ensuring that they are properly trained, motivated, and equipped to perform their job duties. This includes recruiting, hiring, and training new team members as needed.
- You will work closely with the development team to ensure that defects are identified and resolved in a timely manner. You will also collaborate with the development team to ensure that the software is testable and that the testing process is integrated into the software development process.
- You will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation of the testing process, including test plans, test cases, and test results. You will also ensure that the testing process is properly documented and that the documentation is kept up-to-date.
- You will continuously improve the software testing process by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices and new technologies. This includes staying up-to-date with the latest trends in software testing and incorporating new methodologies and tools into the testing process.
- As the Sr. SQA, you play a critical role in ensuring that the software products developed by the software house meet the required quality standards and provide value to customers.
- You are responsible for conducting training sessions for your team members as per the requirements.
- You are responsible for filling the KPIs of your team members on a monthly basis.
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven work experience in software development.
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
